****THIS IS A TWINCEST FIC!!! MEANING TWIN BROTHERS WHO LOVE EACHOTHER AND SCREW!! (eventually anyway) IF YOU HAVE A PROB WITH IT, DON'T READ. SIMPLE AS THAT!! Also, if you don't like gore or bloody, violent sex that goes beyond what's acceptable in BDSM - then don't read!!!***

Somehow Lleu managed to hold onto his consciousness through the whole process of his mentor picking him up (none to gently at that) and going through the stomach-revolting portal. Even if he could speak clearly, he wouldn't have. There was nothing to say. The cheek that was cut by Dylan's rings and claws laid against Archimedes' shoulder, staining what Lleu was sure was quite an expensive fabric. Not that it really mattered; the Elder was covered just from carrying him. The young cat's ears were flat to his head and his tail didn't even twitch from were it hung, almost lifeless only to be occasionally kicked when his mentor walked. He was still trembling uncontrollable and kept his eyes closed so he wouldn't have to meet Archimedes'. But inside he was terrified of what might happen and that's what fought the darkness away and kept him conscious.

Archimedes was walking through the hallways of one of his homes with long even strides, not showing any panic or concern despite the dripping trail of blood that followed them. He put the bleeding kit down the moment Savashna came into the room with a string of curses.

"It would be better if you just slept." He told Lleu.

Finally Lleu opened his eyes, more out of reflex from the agony of his throbbing body being laid down, surprisingly gently, on a small bed. The shame filled orbs met his teacher's closed off expression as the young cat continued to pant out of panic and pain. Somehow he managed to minutely shake his head from side to side, terrified at what would happen if he gave into the oblivion. He wasn't afraid of never waking up, no, he almost wished it at this point in time. No, he was terrified at what might be said or done while he was asleep. He didn't believe Archimedes would contact his fathers because it wouldn't benefit the Elder in any way. But he didn't know if his mentor would find a way to bind Lleu further to him.

"You won't feel any less pain or more being asleep." Archimedes said as his wife before to lie out cloth bandages and pouring out fresh water in a large basin.

Again, Lleu shook his head. While he couldn't speak clearly, he knew his mentor could read his lips. "That's not what I'm afraid of." Was clearly the words that were meant to be spoken. He hated showing Archimedes this weakness knowing that his teacher might use it against him in the future but he was so tired, hurt, and his mind felt as if it had gone through a meat grinder. So he couldn't help the renewal of tears to pooled in his eyes to trickle down his cheeks nor the shame and self-loathing that rose in them as well.

"You really are not in the condition to talk back. I am offering the option to put yourself into a comfortable space or I shall be force to do it for you." The Eldest still had an even tone in his voice but his wife was starting to curse in a language unknown to Lleu.

Lleu cringed, the fear returning to his eyes for a moment before he directed them away from the Elder to Savashna. He didn't want to let the darkness take hold and his entire body trembled with the effort to keep himself awake. He was afraid of what his mind would reveal to him and reliving what had just happened and force him to reevaluate what he was going to do. He couldn't hide here forever. Lazily, his tail wrapped around the woman's wrist in an oddly comforting manner.

"Go to sleep kitten." She said in a low voice. "No mother would want you to suffer like this."

He looked at her a moment more before turning his pain, filled gaze back to his mentor. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he knew he couldn't let go by himself. His own fear prevented him from doing so and it was the hope that if Archimedes assisted him, perhaps the nightmares would be kept at bay. 'Help?' Lleu mouthed the word, knowing as he did it he was possible damning himself into owing the Elder another boon.

‪The vampire sighed and extended his right bloody hand to Lleu's face. His fingertips touching the middle of the werecat's forehead and under his eyes. It was only a moment when Lleu's consciousness was stolen and he was pushed into a void of nothing. No dreams. No pain. Just nothingness. ‬

‪The next hour was spent with Savashna cleaning and tending  toall his wounds on his body. Each was cleaned and wrapped while blood was poured into Lleu's mouth. Since Lleu's body was only a quarter vampire the blood could only help to a point. Most of the wounds were healed quicker by the woman's simple healing spells.

Because of the woman's efforts, when next Lleu woke he no longer felt as if he had been run over by a train, just merely a semi. He had a moment of confusion when he woke, his eyes staring at a familiar ceiling, painted with a night sky mural that actually moved to match what was in the sky. The room was dark, only lit by a large fire in the fireplace across the room from the foot of the large bed he laid in. His head felt muddy, his thoughts coming sluggishly and his mouth felt like it was full of cotton. It took some effort and left him panting and sweating, but the young cat managed to sit up straight, looking longingly at the glass of water that was on the table next to him.

"You're up." The older were-cat's voice sounded bright and warm like sunlight. "You should still relax. Sadly because of your breeding not all of my efforts took so you will need a few more days to rest and heal. At least you don't look horrid."

Lleu turned his gaze to the kind woman, so unlike her husband, and favored her with a small, tentative smile. He opened his mouth to speak and only a cough came out at first. It caused his body to throb in retaliation but he ignored it. He swallowed, trying to get moisture to his dry throat, and tried again. "Thank you for all your help Savashna." His voice was hoarse and ragged, barely a whispered and no where close to its normally lyrical lilt.

She picked up the glass of water and handed it too him. "It's fine. You are much like your father."

The younger cat's smile turned bitter as he took the glass with shaky fingers, sipping gratefully before responding. "So I have been told on many occasions."

"You have a kinder heart." She patted the top of his head.

"I severely doubt that." Lleu mumbled but turned his head to nuzzle the woman's hand. She'd been a kind constant in his life ever since he agreed to study under Archimedes. While he had had Ami and his biological mother to care for him, Savashna always managed to stop his mentor from going to far in his teachings. Plus she had been there years ago when he first been brought to the Elder to comfort him during a difficult time. Just as she was now. "How pissed off is my teacher with me now? I'm certain he'll twist the whole situation around so it's somehow completely my fault." Not that Lleu needed another reason to hate himself even more.

"He isn't upset. Annoyed but not upset. He was expecting something like this to happen I believe." She nudged the cup in his hands.

Lleu acquiesced to her silent command and took another sip of the water, letting its cool wetness sooth his burning throat. He was sure that the female cat had put some sort of herb tincture in it to help him as well. But her words startled him and he soon was lowering the glass, looking at her in surprise. "Expecting . . . he expected Dylan to . . ." His voice trailed off, unable to finish the sentence. He looked away from her, down to the nearly empty glass in his shaking hands.

"I am not sure what he expected but he does not seem shocked." She took the glass and set it aside. Savansha began to pet the top of his head once more. "Very kind heart and very young."

"You're wrong Savansha, I'm not kind at all." Lleu stated softly, leaning back into the pillows again, taking comfort in the warmth of the woman's hand. He looked away from her, directing his eyes to the fireplace, watching the dancing flames. "I try to be a good person but it seems my innate nature makes it impossible for me to care for someone without hurting them." He realized how self-pitying that sounded and even if he did loath himself, it was nothing no one else should have to hear him whine about. "Never mind. Forget I said anything."

‪"Kind and naive are far different words. You worry far too much." She walked away from the bed, "I will get you something warm to drink."

"Thank you." Lleu whispered, not taking his eyes away from the fire. His thoughts were scattered, a maelstrom of emotions and decisions that had to be made and no idea how to go about it. He wasn't sure how long he had been gone or if he was even missed. He was sure that the wolves would have started searching for him as soon as they realized he was gone and probably would have contacted his siblings first but he had no idea what Dylan might have told them. He knew he wasn't going to go back to the Council House and if he did it wouldn't be long. Staying away from his brother might be cowardly but he also wasn't going to present his twin with another opportunity.

Tears filled his eyes and he wiped at them viciously, tired of crying. What had gone wrong? What had finally sent Dylan over the edge? Was it the drugs or was it merely a build up that finally exploded from a combination of different things? Lleu didn't know and merely wanted to whole situation to go away.

Archimedes returned instead of Savansha with a cup of steaming hot chocolate in hand and a sour expression on his face.

Lleu had seen that expression before and it didn't bode well for him. His ears flattened to his head and his tail curled almost protectively around his own bandaged leg. He lowered his eyes from his mentor's form to rest upon his own hands, keeping silent. He knew if he opened his mouth it would merely get him into trouble.

"Are you done feeling bad for yourself?" He reached the cup outward.

Not rising to the caustic bait, Lleu remind silent, thinking about how to respond for a moment as he quietly took the mug but didn't raise it to his lips. "I'm confused." He finally replied, raising the mug and finally taking a sip. It burned horribly but it did warm him.

"You could have stopped that from ever occurring you are aware." The pale man narrowed his eyes at Lleu.

And there it was, just like he predicted. Archimedes placed the blame on him. Lleu felt his anger rise and quickly slapped it down, knowing it wouldn't do any good to snap at the Elder. If he were smart, he would've kept his mouth shut and let the Elder continue with the lecture that he was sure to come. And while he was highly intelligent, he was too tired and in too much pain to play the game right now. "So you suggest that I should've let my own twin brother fuck me years ago? I don't see how that would've helped my situation."

"No you should have scrambled his mind and left him a drooling, self mutilating bastard the moment he laid a hand on you." The Eldest cut a thick hand in the air. "What would you have done if your father had appeared?"

Lleu looked up at his mentor in shock as the Elder proved to him, yet again, that he wasn't as predictable as Lleu assumed. At the mention of his father, he shivered, a flare of panic rising in him. If Chaya had found them . . . no, he couldn't even think of that scenario. He looked back down to the steaming mug, the tears that he had been fighting reappearing. "I didn't really think he would do it Archimedes. I honestly and sincerely didn't think he would go that far." Sorrow painted his words, thick in his throat. He released the mug with his right hand, bringing it to cover his mouth as he turned his face away so that the Elder couldn't see yet another weakness in him. "I couldn't get through to him. There was so much . . . so much rage." And after . . . after his body hadn't wanted Dylan to stop and that just shamed the young cat even more.

"You can not continue to let others force you into situations and use your weakness as an excuse. You're abilities allow you to attack and yet you continue to be victimized. What do I need to do to beat out the wrath you have inside?" He raised up a fist, not to hit Lleu but to gesture his impatience.

"He's my brother! My blood, my twin!" The words were burst out but only caused Lleu to cough from the pain. He winced, calming himself down quickly, taking a sip of the warm chocolate. "He's always been the one there to protect me, to watch my back. He took care of me when I was sick and comforted me when bad shit happened. I never, ever thought he would harm me like that. So excuse me if I'm not the type of person to shoot first and ask question later. Besides . . ." He paused, swallowing again and slowly shaking his head. "You know what happens when I get that angry. I lose control and I've worked too hard to keep that from taking over me." To say that Lleu had anger issues was putting it slightly mildly. Generally the kit was a calm person. Yes, he could be riled, just like anyone else. But when he became extremely angry he lost control and didn't know it had happened until he came out of it and had to pick up the pieces. Only a few people could talk him out of it and his brother was one of them. Luckily situations where it occurred were few and far between so it was not common knowledge.

"There are times when letting yourself feel anger will save your life. If you keep trying to pretend what is inside you does not exist the more people will take advantage of you."

Archimedes lowered his shaking fist to walk across the room to the warm fireplace.

"I don't want to hurt an innocent. And it would be really unfortunate if I lost control in the middle of a Council Meeting." Lleu replied softly but he could still feel his mentor's ire against him. This was a common argument over the years. He finished off his cocoa and set the mug down on the bedside table, his chest flaring in pain from the moment. There he paused rubbing at his face in thought. "And of course, I couldn't hurt Dylan until he made me upset after the deed was complete. And for once, I do not regret my actions in doing so but still . . ."

"Oh? Did you attack him for what he did to you or because of another reason?" The thick back was still turned towards Lleu and Archimedes' voice was still icy.

Lleu shivered and pulled the blankets closer around his bandaged form. It never, ever boded well for him when his mentor was angry with him. "Both." He replied softly. He unwrapped his tail from his leg and let it drape across his lap under the covers, petting it with his own trembling fingers in an attempt to bring comfort to himself. Cats naturally liked the touch of others just as a general rule but specifically when they were upset and Lleu knew he wasn't going to receive any sort of warmth from his teacher. He suddenly wished he were back home, among the wolves so he could join them in their den and surrounded by their warmth. But he knew he couldn't go back, especially right now. "I felt . . . betrayed and then he threatened to kill someone I care about. An innocent victim obliviously stuck in the middle of this macabre messed up situation."

The astronomer, inventor, ancient vampire waived a dismissive hand as he turned around. "You will need two more days at the least to heal. During that time you will work on your shields."

The young cat's heart sank but he knew better not to argue. "Yes Master. I need to contact my father to let him know where I am. Or if he's already left on his quest, at least the wolves. My leaving the Council House wasn't precisely sanctioned."

"It has been taken care of." Archimedes walked past the bed and towards the door, "You will have three hours and I will return. You had better be ready."

Lleu closed his eyes, hiding the brimming tears as he swallowed painfully. "Yes Master." He complied quietly.
I was going to wait a few more days to post this but I thought I'd have pity on ya'll. Not a very exciting chapter comparatively but you get to learn a bit more about Archimedes. Sort of.

If he's thousands of years old, how old does that make his wife? She seems to be all puppies and sunshine. Unless she's the one holding the leash?
